About Choi Dining

The moment diners step inside Choi Dining, the subtle hum of conversation melds with the carefully curated ambiance reminiscent of traditional syokudo and teishoku establishments. Bright yet cozy, the space invites a lingering curiosity about what the meal will unfold. Engagement with the Choi Dining menu reveals an adept balance between classic Japanese set meals and unexpected local twists, where each dish shows careful attention to freshness and presentation. While some dishes arrive with a slightly conservative seasoning that might not suit all palates, the comforting variety compensates for those minor lapses in boldness.

Exploring an array of options across the Choi Dining restaurant offerings, the teishoku sets stand out for their harmony of flavors and thoughtful portioning, aligning well with diners who appreciate a well-rounded meal. Photos from various visits capture the appealing arrangement of dishes—rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and a main component presented with quiet elegance. The staff's responsiveness contributes to a relaxed atmosphere, although occasional delays during peak hours hint at the challenge of balancing demand with personalized service. Several reviews echo this sentiment, praising quality but noting sporadic pacing in the dining experience.

Reflection on overall value brings into focus the intricate dance between quality and price, where meals feel reasonably priced given the care evident in each plate. The silent charm of the venue supports a quieter dining experience, suitable for thoughtful meals rather than lively gatherings. Reviewing the Choi Dining menu with curiosity about its distinct offerings enhances appreciation for styles not often spotlighted outside Japan itself. While the setting or service might not redefine expectations dramatically, the consistency in delivering classic teishoku comforts sustains its appeal and justifies a place among Seoul’s steady contenders in syokudo dining.

This food was art. I've tried many attempts at mala chicken fusions or adaptions and nothing is as good as this. It's not spicy, even baby can eat this - the flavour is sweet and tangy and has many layers. The chef should get a crown.

Recently, there has been a new Chinese dish that I really like. After tasting it, I feel it's very authentic and similar to the taste I've had in China. It's really delicious, and the waiter is also very friendly~

I wouldn't want to miss the collaboration menu between choi dining and the comic chef from Culinary Class War, I came to their branch in yeonnam for lunch and suprisingly there wasn't a queue. the tantan soba (탄탄마제소바) was a whole new world for me, that one I would highly recommend! The pork (동파육) was so tender and was not overwhelming. because pork for me is quite a complex dish. too much fat, you will not enjoy it so much. but they did it well on this menu.

Went here for lunch to try the collaboration menu between Choi Dining and Comic Chef from Culinary Wars. Since I'm alone, I only ordered Dongpayuk and the pork was so tender that it melts on your mouth! I found it really fatty but I think it's the charm of the dish. I felt the rice bowl to be really heavy cause I was so full after. It's a bit expensive for a rice bowl in my opinion but still worth trying. I was seated fast since I came 20mins after their opening but after I finished my meal, there were a lot of people waiting to be seated. Staff were all nice and accommodating!

Had their pasta and maki and it was really delicious. Fresh twist between Japanese and Italian. The most interesting part is how they have made their food quite refreshing and light , therefore you don’t feel overly full once you are done. This is a small and cozy restaurant so the tables are quite close to each other. Overall enjoyable experience and will recommend it
